These inline six cylinder engines use the latest generation of engine management and injection systems to produce highly-efficient outputs. Generous torque is developed low down the rev range, resulting in easy driveability. 
  
The 380 hp Euro 4 variant will meet the needs of the vast majority of truck operators. A special feature of all this engine is Scania HPI. Clean and efficient outputs are ensured by the adoption of refined technology known as Time Pressure Metering.

This advanced system allows constantly and infinitely variable minor adjustments to both timing of injection and volume of fuel used, resulting in consistently efficient performance. Refinement of the system is also exhibited by lower noise levels.
