Scania Singapore Launches New Truck and Bus Range



Scania Singapore Pte Ltd, the distributor of Scania vehicles in Singapore, today launches the new P-series truck and K-Series bus range. These new state-of-the-art vehicles are powered by Scania’s new Euro 4 compliant engines, running on EGR technology.

Singapore, 6 October 2006;  Scania Singapore Pte Ltd, the distributor of Scania vehicles in Singapore, today launches the new P-series truck and K-Series bus range.  These new state-of-the-art vehicles are powered by Scania’s new Euro 4 compliant engines, running on EGR technology.

The launch of the new range of vehicles in Singapore today adds another feather to the company’s cap, as Singapore is the first country in Asia to officially launch the new P-series truck and K-series bus ranges, as well as the Euro 4 engines.

“Scania Singapore is proud to be the first market to offer the new range of truck and bus range in Asia, and we would like to take this opportunity to show our commitment to our customers in Singapore towards offering them the latest technology from Scania,” said Scania Singapore Pte Ltd General Manager, Mr Norman Koh.

The new P-series trucks will feature a range of tractors units from 310hp to 380hp for haulage, general cargo, distribution and heavy transport; as well as rigid units with 380hp engines for distribution, construction and special vehicles applications.  

The new K-series bus chassis includes 3 coach chassis – from 340hp to 380hp featuring 4x2 and 6x2 chassis.  380hp models come with independent front suspension for better stability and superb ride.  On all models, Scania Opticruise automated gear changing system, cruise control, full air-suspension, disc brakes and Scania Retarder come standard.  A new low-floor city bus chassis, powered by a quiet yet fuel-efficient 230hp engine with 5-speed ZF automatic transmission, completes Scania Singapore’s impressive new line-up.
